Shane Williams Scores 31 in Win over Veritas

Shane Williams and the Grove Falcons were host to Veritas on 12-15-11.  The results was a win for Grove which is its 3rd win of the season.  Shane used his excellent basketball skills to lead the Falcons to an easy win over Veritas.

Shane scored 31 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, had 2 assists, and 6 steals in this game.

Shane Williams Stats thru first 8 games of the 2011-12 season are as follows:

Shane Williams Scores 35 Points in Loss to Spirit

On 12-13-11 Shane Williams and the Grove Falcons were host to Spirit.  This was a very close game all the way.  Grove could not hold on in the final minutes and suffered its 5th loss of the season.

Shane Williams demonstrated his ball handling and scoring abilities throughout the game.

Shane had 35 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals for the game.

Shane Williams scores 36 points in win over Landmark on 12-12-11

Shane Williams and the Grove Falcons were host to Landmark on 12-12-11.  The Grove Falcons under the leadership of Shane Williams won its second game of the season.  Shane demonstrated his ball handling ability and excellent shooting to lead the Falcons to the win.

Shane scored 36 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals for his efforts in this game.

Shane had 4/5 free throws or 80%; 2/7 3-point plays or 28.6%; and 15/27 field goals or 55.6%.

Grove was host to James River on 12-8-11

Shane Williams and his Grove Falcons took on James River on 12-8-11 at Grove.  The Falcons fought hard but came up short at the end of the game that resulted in its 4th loss of the season against 1 win.

Shane led the Falcons with 39 points, 6 rebounds, 6 steals, and 2 assists.

This outstanding play by Shane Williams brings his points/game average for the first five games of the season to 29.2.

Shane Williams Scores 30 points in loss to Yeshiva on Tuesday

Grove had its first home game on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 against Yeshiva.  It was a hard fought battle with Grove suffering its third loss of the season.  Grove made a good comeback in the second half from a 17 point deficit to a 6 point loss at the end of the game.  The team played well in the second half behind the leadership of Shane Williams. Grove's record after four games is 1 win and 3 losses.

Shane Williams scored 30points, grabbed 7 rebounds, had 5 steals, and 4 assists in the game on Tuesday night.

Shane and his Grove Falcons Travel to Spirit on 12/2/11

Grove traveled to Spirit on Friday night.  Grove had a good start but was not successful in holding off Spirit.  This was the third game of the season for Grove and the second defeat.  Shane Williams scored  20 points, had 8 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal in the game.  Grove host Yeshiva on Tuesday, December 6,2011 at 6:00 p.m.

Shane is doing well in his first three games of the 2011-12 season  He is averaging 25.7 points per game, 6.7 rebounds per game, 2 steals per game, and 1.7 assists per game.   His free throw shooting is at 80.9% and field goal percentage is at 42.4% over the first three games.

Shane's second game of the season

On November 15, 2011 the Grove Boys Basketball team traveled to Carmel for their second game of the season.  This was the first conference game for Grove.  The Grove team played a good game and the results was a win.  Shane Williams scored 38 points in  this game while playing in the first three quarters or 24 minutes of the 32 minute contest.  He had 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals in the game.  Free Throws 8/9 or 88.9%, 3Point Goals 2/4 or 50%, and Field Goals 14/25 or 56%.

Shane's Basketball Season begins

The Grove Avenue Baptist Christian School began its basketball season on November 14, 2011 traveling to Yeshiva.  Unfortunately the first game was a loss for Grove.  Shane Williams scored 19 points, had 3 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 assist in his first outing of the season.
